Is Trump Our King?

Someone recently commented on my post about victims in Iran, that I must be one of those ‘Trump Christians.’ My question is, what in the world is a ‘Trump Christian.’ They also asserted that I wanted a theocracy. These repetitive talking points were used because I agree with some of Trump’s policy decisions. This is another case of the extreme liberal partisan attacks in which these kinds of individuals can’t think for themselves, and use ad hominems to attack anyone who agrees with Trump’s decisions.

First, let me answer the question posed. No, Trump is not our king. I don’t want a theocracy, and Trump isn’t even my ideal candidate for president.

Second, I don’t believe our country is a Christian nation. And certainly our government doesn’t represent Christianity throughout the world. All the wars we are in have nothing to do with Christianity or advancing Christianity. We are not in a holy war as a nation. And I don’t believe Trump even remotely identifies himself as a born again Christian. Nor do I see him as one. That being said, I believe our government has been put in place by a Sovereign God and functions according to His rule by democrats and republicans. A person does not have to be a Christian for God to use that person for His purpose. Read the book of Exodus, Daniel, and the history of even evil nations God used for His purpose.

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” Romans 13:1

Finally, I agree with most of the policy decisions of the Trump administration. While I do not like Trump’s way of communicating and dealing with his opponents, I would much rather have him in the White House surrounded by conservatives as opposed to liberal democrats willing to do and say anything to get their power back. Also, Trump is actually doing everything he promised to do during his 2016 campaign which is very rare, especially for subtle, lying, swamp loving politicians like Joe Biden.

You don’t have to like it, but you must understand we are a divided country over policy and ideas, and everybody does not get what they want all the time. If the democrats were as smart as they presume to be, they would understand Trump’s personality and use different strategies to actually get things accomplished on their agenda. For crying out loud, Trump was not even a republican before running for president. They have blown up the bridge of by-partisanship with the president by ultimately impeaching him, and then they cry, “he didn’t call us before he killed Soleimani”. Intelligent people get things done by understanding who they are dealing with. Obviously, democrats have chosen to wine and be angry about Trump’s personality, instead of getting things done.

I pray for Trump, and all of our politicians to step back and work together for the good of the country, not their party’s power. Trump is not a king, and he is not God, but WE THE PEOPLE elected him. And he will be elected for a second term.

“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:” Isaiah 46:9-10

  1. I share the same views your presented. Trump has many personality issues. However, he is better than most Democrat politicians that want to turn our nation into a lawless nation. It is pathetic that many Democrats have turn a terrorist into a hero.
Republicans and Democrats are fighting for power, instead of the good of the nation.

Yes, I like Trump’s policies but I don’t like the things he says.

The problem is that some people act like everything Trump does is perfect. They try to justify the pathetic things he says.

Our duty as Christians is to pray for all leaders, not idolize them.

Your article was a great read. Extreme Democrats and Republicans are the only ones who may disagree with your views.
